Fantastic product, my son loved creating the out world and watching the Ants

• ★★★★★

Love it. Simple to set up and decorate. Ample space in the outworld to fit all manner of enrichment bits to give your small colony a much needed area to explore. Just got to make sure you select the right ports to keep open and you're golden. My Manica Rubida Colony took to their new home right away and with the added benefit of not stressing out the whole colony when adding food. A real step up from just keeping them in a simple test tube. Highly recommend for a growing starter colony. Last note you can still monitor your ants via the red window and again you won't disturb them whilst doing so.

I couldn't be happier with my AntKit Ant Home. It's fantastic to be able to watch the queen in her test tube without disturbing her, and to watch the colony grow as the first nanitcs arrive is even better. The Ant Home has allowed me as a first time ant keeper to engage with the ants as they grow their colony as I don't have to keep them in a dark box or drawer, whilst still providing the ants with the comfort and security of a low light environment. The attached outworld has made feeding the first nanitics very easy and has allowed the ants to explore and search for food in their own time, and (when the colony is big enough) the connector ports will make moving the colony into a bigger nest effortless for both myself and the ants. I would highly recommend this product to beginners and pros alike.

Reviewing the 3 colors in one, don’t want to spam this place xD

After buying the ‘green’ one, I was very happy with it so I bought 3 more. The yellow one is slightly damaged, but that might have happend during transport. I love the colors, I think I like the yellow one the best from this batch. Took me some time to attach the Sawtooth Test Tube Adapters to the other exit, apparently only the blue one had a bit of an issue (see the Sawtooth Test Tube Adapter review) the other two connected just fine. I’m eager to put them to use and will defiantly buy the remaining colors in the future

Love this little ant nest, arrived in really quickly. Can’t wait to move my L. Niger in after hibernation :)

Very happy! AntKit has always been my No .1 for the UK, it wasnt expensive and the ants have eaten like kings and seem perfectly healthy, Since I gained the ants I've had several new ants hatch!

Only issue is the fact the water was drained a good bit but considering the colony has been in there a good while it's natural. Very happy, thanks AntKit!

The queen and 7 workers all came alive and healthy in a well packed test tube set up. Very happy with the product and would recommend 👍

So good I bought another! Very sleek well made design. The components are made with precision and an excellent finish. Ants are very happy, I have a good view of the test tube chamber whilst the red finish keeps them unfazed by light.

my anthome arrived quick and neatly packaged it is easy to use and the ants seem to be settled in i am currently using it for a phidole sp the queen is laying loads of eggs which is probably because i have stopped disturbing her as i can easily view them through the red acrylic side-pannle i have bought in the past and am defiantly going to buy again...

  thank you antkit.

Looks very good, took me some time until I figured out the rotating system on the bottom, I’m very happy that it has a way to attach other things to it. I only laughed as I realized that it only has 1 adapter. But not to worry, I have decided to buy a few more

Absolutely love this! It’s perfect for starting out with a new colony.

Love these kits, this is my second and I can't rate them highly enough! The only thing I'd like some improvements on is the Alan key open and closing system which is hard to see and work out what is open and isn't, also will be difficult to open the 'extension' part when you have a well established colony without disturbing them. Great kit though especially for people new to the hobby, as it allows you to view the ants without disturbing them. My Messor barbarus love it and are growing at a very healthy rate. Worth every penny and I will definitely buy more in the future.

Also like to say a big thumbs up for the service, especially in these difficult times.

Received a Queen and 2 worker ants. Don’t see them as they are in the lower levels but they come out at night to eat.

This is a neat set up that looks good on a shelf. The arena is a good size for feeding/watering. It also has a connector port so you can expand the set up when you need to.

The reason for four stars and not five is because it is quite difficult to observe the ants in their nest with this set up. I've also got the flat nest type which makes observation much easier. The test tube set up is easy to look after.

The product feels quite robust though the lid of this one doesn't quite fit so doesn't sit completely flush to the top, giving it a little bit of a wobble. Not sure if this is a common issue or just with this particular one.

The kit doesn't come with any instructions on how to open/close the holes for the connector port. Instead you have to try and work out when you've got it in the correct position. This isn't too difficult but a small note would have made setting it up much quicker.
