The AntKit AntHome is the perfect nest for starting out in ant keeping.
It is great for newbies and experienced keepers!
Having the test tube in the AntHome allows you to observe them through the red window, without exposing them to light, vibrations and other movements of the test tube which will stress the queen.
Feeding is easy in the AntHome, just lift the lid and place your food in. You don't need to worry about ants escaping from the test tube as you try to feed them.
Getting set up is easy. You just plug the test tube straight in and you are set to go.
The nest includes AntKit's proprietary sawtooth receptacle compatible with the entire range of AntKit Sawtooth Connectors (not included) with a shutter to open and close the expansion port. Use this to expand your nest into other AntKit products or your own DIY solutions. Perfect founding nest for just about any ant species.
The AntHome has a built in red acrylic viewing window and houses a test tube that connects to an integrated arena with clear window and vented clear lid.
Includes test tube and cotton wool.

★★★★★ Love it. Simple to set up and decorate. Ample space in the outworld to fit all manner of enrichment bits to give your small colony a much needed area to explore. Just got to make sure you select the right ports to keep open and you're golden. My Manica Rubida Colony took to their new home right away and with the added benefit of not stressing out the whole colony when adding food. A real step up from just keeping them in a simple test tube. Highly recommend for a growing starter colony. Last note you can still monitor your ants via the red window and again you won't disturb them whilst doing so.

It's fantastic to be able to watch the queen in her test tube without disturbing her, and to watch the colony grow as the first nanitcs arrive is even better. The Ant Home has allowed me as a first time ant keeper to engage with the ants as they grow their colony as I don't have to keep them in a dark box or drawer, whilst still providing the ants with the comfort and security of a low light environment. The attached outworld has made feeding the first nanitics very easy and has allowed the ants to explore and search for food in their own time, and (when the colony is big enough) the connector ports will make moving the colony into a bigger nest effortless for both myself and the ants. I would highly recommend this product to beginners and pros alike.
