Camponotus singularis is an amazing red-headed Asian ant species. They feature large workers and since they are polymorphic, there are three castes of workers. Camponotus singularis is considered a ‰Û÷premium‰۪ ant species because they are very sought after for their colours. The Queen can be very large indeed and contrary to most other Camponotus species, Camponotus singularis have a faster brood development rate. This means the colony will develop in size relatively quickly. Along with extra heat, the colony will develop faster. The impressive size and colours are great to observe in captivity and large colonies are not often found for sale.
